The fourth-generation Kia Carnival multipurpose vehicle (MPV) is coming to Singapore this year! It is absolutely normal if you don’t remember what the third-gen looks like because it was here 12 years ago.
The exterior of the Carnival
On the styling exterior of the Carnival, we can see Kia’s trademark tiger-nose grille shaped with a diamond pattern. To give it a complete look, Kia included narrow headlights with LEDs and stepped DRLs over a new bumper.
The more refined, spacious and capable Kia Carnival is enormously huge – at 5,155mm long and 1995mm wide, it is longer and wider than the Toyota Alphard. With a 30mm increase in wheelbase, there is now greater space throughout the cabin. Their headroom also increased by 29mm, 5mm and 1mm respectively from the first row to the third row.
With careful consideration for the passengers, the Smart Power sliding door will automatically open when you stand near the door. It is designed for those who have their hands full.
The interior of the Carnival
The interior of the fourth-generation Carnival includes a 12.3-inch dashboard and 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment with a navigation system.
It also provides customized smart functions. The ‘User Personalized Profile’ recognizes the driver and provides personalized settings. The digital key recognizes the driver right in front, and automatically adjusts the seating position and the radio channels that the driver has preferred in the past.
Retaining the dual-sunroof setup. The Carnival is offering three or four-row seating configurations, with space for 7, 8 or 11 occupants in total.
The lightweight and powerful engine is replaced with an aluminium block, making it 20kg lighter. Producing up to 199bhp and 440Nm of torque over a broad range of engine speeds. However, Kia Singapore says it will sell the 202hp, 2.2-litre inline four-cylinder turbodiesel variant here, rather than the 3.5-litre V6 in 294hp and 272hp editions.
After the fourth-generation Carnival thoroughly refined its basic platform, it included more features to take good care of all passengers inside.
